The story so far...

Hello!

Great to have you here!  This is where you can get to know more about me and my creative journey.

Having spent most of my adult life working with children or within medical administration, a move to Wiltshire was the turning point for me to get back to my roots… namely art.  Call it serendipity or a mid life wobble (you can choose) change was beckoning, and with an absolute certainty that I needed to paint, I did exactly that.

Armed with my previous degree from Chelsea School of Art and two totally inspiring courses provided by the artist Louise Fletcher,  the conservatory became my studio and my sanctuary as work began to flow freely from me.

What's in it for you?

I create art so that you can enjoy something unique to brighten up your home.  Owning original art is a joyful experience that offers you the perfect antidote to the fast paced “instant” world we live in.

If you've got to this point then why not delve further?

My process...

Working with a variety of materials including acrylic paint, collage and fused glass I like to work intuitively allowing my paintings to emerge through the application of many layers.  I enjoy exploring the contrasts between light and dark, chaos and stillness, and experimenting with ways to create texture through mark making.  This allows for a richness of colour and vibrancy in each piece that I can often relate to a personal feeling or experience.
